Incidents reported last week include a raid on a factory producing fake wine in Russia… Seizures of counterfeit luxury goods took place in the US…A massive amount of pirated movies, music and games were seized during a raid in the UK…other pirated movies and music were seized in Jamaica, Malaysia, Northern Ireland and Hong Kong…Counterfeit pharmaceuticals were also seized in India and the Philippines... .Other incidents include a number of counterfeiters being sentenced in the UK, Canada and the US.

The report is a global review of IPR protection and enforcement, and sites significant concerns about 12 countries; Argentina, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Israel, Lebanon, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venezuela. It also puts particular emphasis on China and Russia.
